The sponsor of Unlimited Lights Scholarship – 2024 Essay Contest (the “Contest”) is Unlimited Lights LLC. (owner and operator of www.unlimitedlights.com) at 8400 Normandale Lake Blvd #920, Bloomington, MN 55437 (“Sponsor”).

1. ELIGIBILITY:

Contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Entrants must also meet the eligibility and application requirements listed at https://www.unlimitedlights.com/pages/scholarship (the “Contest Info Page”). Employees, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members, of Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions and Sponsor's advertising and contest-management agencies are not eligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, local, provincial, and municipal laws. U.S. law governs this Contest and personal jurisdiction for any lawsuit arising out of this Contest shall exclusively be the state and federal courts located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Void where prohibited.

2. CONTEST TIMING/DESCRIPTION:

The Contest begins on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 12:00AM CT and ends at 11:59PM CT on Friday, June 28, 2024 (the “End Date”) (collectively the “Contest Period”).

3. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:

To enter, entrants that are eligible may submit an application that meets the requirements listed on the Contest Info Page during the Contest Period. Limit one entry per person. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm CT on the End Date listed above in order to be eligible. Mechanically reproduced, computer generated, incomplete or illegible entries are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.

4. PRIZE:

One (1) winner will receive a USD$1,000 scholarship, which will be paid directly to the university, college, or educational institution in which the winner is enrolled (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value (ARV) of the Prize: USD$1,000.00. Total ARV of Prize to be awarded: USD$1,000.00. Prize may not be transferred, substituted, redeemed for cash, or paid to anyone other than the university, college, or educational institution in which the winner is enrolled, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Specifics of the Prize are in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award a Prize of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize, or a portion of the Prize is unavailable. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.

5. DETERMINATION OF WINNER:

Participants must submit entries as specified above “3. How to enter the Contest”. The winner will be selected by Wednesday, July 31, 2024 (the “Selection Date”). The winner will be notified by email within five (5) days of the Selection Date. The winner will be required to sign and return to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Prize and/or Publicity Release within five (5) days of issuance of notification. Proof of enrollment in a qualifying university, college, or educational institution, as determined by the subjective determination of the judges, is required prior to issuance of the Prize. Limit one (1) Prize per entry. In the event a winning entry is discovered to be invalid for any reason whatsoever or the person who submitted the winning entry fails to comply with these Official Rules prior to delivery of the Prize, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. All decisions and results are final and binding.

6. ODDS OF WINNING:

The odds of winning the Prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received and the subjective determination of the judges.

7. NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF WINNER:

The potential winner will be required to sign and return to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Prize and/or Publicity Release within five (5) days of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time frame or with requirements, or if Prize or Prize notification is returned as undeliverable, will result in the entrant being disqualified, and the Prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

By entering the Contest, entrant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by these Official Rules, the terms of use located at www.unlimitedlights.com/pages/terms-and-conditions , the Privacy Policy located at www.unlimitedlights.com/pages/privacy-policy , and other site policies listed at www.unlimitedlights.com , meets the eligibility and application requirements listed on the Contest Info Page, and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the Contest. THE WINNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING AND PAYING ANY AND ALL INCOME, SALES OR EXCISE TAXES THAT MAY APPLY; SPONSOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR AND WILL NOT PAY ANY SUCH TAXES. Entrants agree that the conditions of submission set forth in these Official Rules, and all documents and agreements incorporated in these Official Rules by reference, solely govern the relationship between entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest. Sponsor not responsible for miscommunications, failed phone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, incorrect or inaccurate information, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. In the event the Contest is, in the opinion of the Sponsor, compromised by non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or impair its administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest, unless prohibited law. Sponsor reserves the right to deny entries to anyone it believes, in its sole discretion, is attempting to engage in unfair, unauthorized, out of the ordinary, wrongful actions, or any other actions, designed to unfairly or unduly increase the number of entries to be earned. Void where prohibited.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND PUBLICITY:

Participation in this Contest constitutes agreement by entrant to release and hold harmless Sponsor and their respective agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns, against any and all claims, injury or damage arising out of or relating to participation in this Contest and/or use or misuse or redemption of a Prize. Entrant agrees to permit (if applicable and except where prohibited by law) use of entrant’s name, entry submission, Prize won, avatar, hometown, photo, likeness and/or comments about the Contest, and winning the Contest for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to the purposes of online posting, advertising, Contest and publicity in any media without additional compensation. By entering the Contest, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the contest and/or Contest, or any Prize awarded, shall be subject to the arbitration provision contained on www.unlimitedlights.com/pages/terms-of-service . Under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Entrants agree that any and all disputes shall be governed by the laws of the state of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles. The ordinary, wrongful actions, or any other actions, designed to unfairly or unduly increase the number of entries to be earned. Void where prohibited.

10. WINNER LIST / OFFICIAL RULES:
