The Bodine BDL 700 model is encased in red tempered silicon metal, come already fitted with a battery and charger that supplies between 90 and 120 minutes of temporary power during a power outage. It performs well with CFL(4p) T8-T12 fluorescent lamps in indoor locations. Now, if your resturant experiences an unfortunate fire issue where the water sprinklers are needed, this ballasts is also wet location rated. It can be used outdoor as well, if needed.

Application:
The BDL700 can be installed on top, inside of, or remotely to a CFL fixture with a conduit (included). Remote installation is recommended at a maximum of 6 feet in distance from lamp. For simple visual check up of the charging indicator light and for easy testing, the test/monitor plate can be installed near the fixture. Remote application is possible up to 50 feet from the fixture. Not recommended for use in freezing temperatures.
External Specifications:
This emergency ballast has a built high-temperature and maintenance-free nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery, charger and inner electronic circuitry. Built in solid-state composition this ballast as also comes with a charging indicator light that monitors the acitivity of charger and battery.
Electrical Specifications:
Armed with Dual voltage 120/277 operation at frequency of 60 Hz the BDL700 is compatible with twin tube and quad tube fluorescent lamps of different sizes. Input current required for this ballast is 280mA and power utilized is only 3.5 W. The emergency ballast, using a patented circuit, delays AC ballast operation for approximately 3 seconds to prevent false tripping of AC ballast end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuits.
